Our Wicklow based Client is currently recruiting for a QA Officer to join their expanding team.
Responsible for management and coordination of all quality traceability paperwork for the assigned area. Taking required samples or swabs and logging all information. Verifying assigned paperwork checks and CCP checks within designated area of responsibility. Printing all required documentation for quality checks and updating all graphs on the KPS boards. Reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor and assisting in assigned tasks.
Taking samples of all required raw materials, WIP (if applicable) and finished goods in accordance with defined sampling and test schedules. Water sampling. Logging all required details and submitting all samples to the sampling technician for analysis.
Scanning, filing and archiving of quality paperwork. Responsibility to ensure all traceability related paperwork is archived fully and is fully retrievable in the event of a traceability request.
Ensuring the correct relevant paperwork is assigned to the production operatives and that they are being verified at a pre-determined frequency.
Escalation of any failures of team members in completing any assigned tasks/documentation
Completing assigned verification checks to the highest standard.
Completing glass audits to required frequency, against risk assessment, highlighting all issues and escalation of any critical or major non-conformances.
Updating the glass audit documentation to reflect the current area or any new addition of equipment.
Updating the relevant metrics/information assigned on the KPS boards in each department with the most up to date quality graphs.
Highlighting any potential trends of concern to the Quality Supervisor.
Support Quality Supervisor
Report directly to the Quality Supervisor and provide support in any relevant areas.
Provide support to all teams as part of any incident or traceability exercise.
Highlight any supplier non-conformances in relation to raw materials, packaging, trailers, etc.
Complete relevant supplier non-conformance documentation and liaise with the supplier until satisfactory resolution has been put in place. Escalation of any potential food safety issues.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Sysytems , with an ability to solve problems using 8 Step Practical Problem Solving.
